A West Chester man is in custody after allegedly stalking his girlfriend in the East End early last night.
At around 17:00, police responded to the Apartments for Modern Living on the 200 block of South Matlack Street after a woman reported that she was being stalked by Cutberto Cruz, 21. Cruz allegedly made several harassing phone calls to the victim before showing up at her apartment.
Officers had staked out the complex for a period of time before breaking it off. Shortly after they left, the victim called back to report that Cruz had confronted her. Upon the return of officers, Cruz was taken into custody and transported to West Goshen for LiveScan.
Cruz was arraigned this morning on charges of Terroristic Threats, Simple Assault, and Harassment. He was committed to CCP in lieu of $10,000 cash bail; his prelim is scheduled for next Friday at 15-1-04 (CR-0000007-09).
